Mary Cleary
Mary Cleary is working with the National Research Center on Rural Education Support as Project Director for the Rural High School Aspirations Project. Mary received a master’s degree in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a bachelor’s degree in Child Development and Social Work from Eastern Illinois University. Her career has focused on a spectrum of community development and research issues including early childhood education, organizational and group development and training, and patient advocacy and support. A native of the rural Midwest, Mary has worked cross-culturally in communities across the United States, in Africa and Asia.
